On October 6, 2006, the International Association of High Technology Crime Investigators (HTCIA), elected Michael McCartney, of DIGITS LLC, as President of the North East Chapter.  The HTCIA is an International association comprised of 44 chapters world-wide with 31 chapters in the United States.  The North East Chapter is the third largest chapter within the organization. 

As President for calendar year 2010, Mr. McCartney plans to further develop the membership base and deliver free high caliber training and networking opportunities throughout the North East region.  2010 marks the 20^th Anniversary of the North East Chapter and Mr. McCartney has planned a 3-day conference for June in Syracuse, New York (details to follow). In addition, there will be many opportunities to receive certifications through the many partnerships and affiliations between HTCIA and the private sector, such as SANS, Pace University and NW3C. Mr. McCartney will also be rolling out a HTCIA Student membership drive for college students and academic institutions to join our organization and liaison with High Tech crime investigators and technologists.  For more information please contact Michael McCartney at michael.mccartney@digitllc.com.
